BRCA 1/8th Circuit Section Notice of EGM Request

Today the section has received a signed request from a member for an EGM to be held. The purpose of which is to amend rule 1.4.7 of the 2012 BRCA 1/8th Circuit Construction rules to permit the use of tyre additives.

The EGM contains a proposal to change rule 1.4.7 from Treatment of the tyres with additives is prohibited To Treatment of the tyres with additives is permitted.

In accordance with the terms of the BRCA constitution the minimum numbers of BRCA members have also countersigned the document to agree to an EGM being held.

Accordingly and in accordance with the terms of the constitution the section hereby gives the required notice that the EGM will be held prior to Round 2 of the National Championship at the Halifax Track Stainland Road Halifax HX4 8LS on 21st April 2012 at 13.00 Hours.

To be eligible to vote you must be a current BRCA member and attend the EGM meeting. You will be asked to sign in and present your 2012 BRCA card.

A 66% majority of those present and signed in at the EGM meeting must be vote in favour of the EGM proposal for the motion to be carried.

Non-attendees will not count, abstentions will not count towards the vote and be taken from the total and there will be no voting by proxy.

The committee will not vote on this issue and they will not count towards the total.
